STURLA NØSTVIK

Sturla Nøstvik started playing drums in the early 80s while being inspired by bands like rock bands of the time like, Kiss, Whitesnake, Deep Purple and went on to play in various bands spanning from rock, prog, funk, blues, Top 40 bands, country bands and even sitting in the pit band for a local cabaret for many years(!).

He was also part of a Norwegian tribute production of Pink Floyd´s The Wall in the early 2000´s, and also played in indie bands like Clark and the rock band Tim. He was later part of a tribute act for U2, and he is still playing regularly with a party band called Hit Station.

In 2021 he joined the AOR rock band Zelbo which released their record “In My Dreams” on Frontiers Records. Also in 2021 he joined the band Rooftops & Satellites (with also features Saluki´s singer Odd Einar) and they released their debut album “Last Chance Diner” in 2023. In the last decade Sturla has been keeping himself busy with running his own studio where he records drums for various artists from all over the world. He also runs his own YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/sturla75) where he regularly post various drum related stuff.
